Introducing Gertie
bulldog, a daughter of Lynmans Stagestruck (UK top sire 2007)

Although only shown
about three times – with me as a very novice bulldog handler - she
won 1st at a championship show and 3rd out of
16 in Puppy Bitch at a Bulldog Club Open Show. As boxers and
bulldogs are never shown on the same day at championship shows, I
didn’t show her any more, but I had the confirmation I wanted that I
had a really good bulldog.
I am pleased to
say that her breathing is wonderful - she doesn’t even snore!!
She chases balls and walks and runs for miles in the forest with no
effort at all. She also climbs on the patio table to sleep in the
shade of the umbrella (who said bulldogs aren’t active).
I spent a lot of
time looking for a suitable husband, with an essential requirement
being that his breathing is also good. I saw
Champion Jumano Johnny Be Good at
a show, and he just filled my eye.

He was Best of
Breed at Crufts 2007, and is sired by
World Champion Merriveen Make my Day
out of a daughter of World Champion
Merriveen Rough ‘n Ready
and Champion Jumano Justina Flurry
so his pedigree is outstanding. Also, he has a very friendly, happy
temperament.
The result of the
mating was 7 lovely red/white daughters. I hope they give their new
owners a lot of pleasure and I wish all the luck in the world to the
ones who are destined for the show ring.
